MACADAMIA NUTS

Macadamia nuts are a source of selenium, iron, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, carbohydrates and fibre. They are high in fat and zinc, the beauty mineral. The fat contains over 80 percent beautifying monounsaturated fatty acids, such as oleic acid (omega 9), which is a good fat. Oleic acid significantly reduces blood serum cholesterol levels. It enhances the protective high-density lipoproteins and suppresses low-density lipoproteins.

Macadamias also contains palmitoleic acid, a monounsaturated fatty acid that acts as an antioxidant, preventing deterioration of cell membranes. It can even help restore damaged skin.
Macadamias also contain phytonutrient compounds, flavonoids, phytoestrogens, phytic acids, ellagic acid,  saponins and lignans, and help rejuvenate the liver.
