Hiya Beautiful!

Acne is an inflammatory skin disorder caused by an increased production of androgens, which are male sex hormones. These hormones stimulate the production of sebum (an oily skin lubricant) and keratin (a type of protein). As sebum rises to the surface of the skin, blemishes develop. The excess oil plugs the pore, allowing bacteria to grow.

Blackheads form when skin pigment combines with sebum and plugs the pores. When scales below the surface of the skin become filled with sebum, then white heads develop. Inflammation occurs when white heads build up and spread under the skin.

Acne in teenagers usually occurs on the face and upper body. Adults get acne on the chin and jaw line. Eating too many of the wrong fats, hormonal imbalances, allergies and stress can cause the production of sebum.

Detoxification of the body is very important if we suffer from acne disorder. One of the functions of the skin is to eliminate toxic waste through sweating. If our body is overburden with toxins, the kidneys and liver cannot eliminate toxins efficiently from the body. Toxins will then escape through the skin, and that creates the problem of acne and many other skin disorders.
