Facial Yoga Exercises for Better Skin Tone – yoga face exercises wrinkles
Daily facial yoga exercises for your facial muscles including the eye area, are essential to tone and firm your facial structure. It all works on the principle of resistance to tone, firm and strengthen the muscles. Just like lifting weights can change the shape of your body and your skin tone, so can your facial muscles when using the pressure of your fingers. Your facial muscles will tone up, and you will appear more youthful. In addition, the facial yoga exercises will increase blood flow to the skin which will nourish the skin, bringing in more oxygen, and encourage the production of collagen and elastin. This is a non-surgical facelift without the problems of surgery. I am presenting you with a few different face yoga exercises.
Eyes – Yoga for the face
Working muscles: The orbicularis oculi is the muscle that surrounds the eye that allows it to open and close. This exercise is specifically designed to tone the muscles around the eyes, maintaining elasticity and preventing fluid retention. Place the middle finger on the outside of your eyes on the cheek bone, apply slight pressure, and tense it slightly doing short pulses. With this exercise you are tightening and toning your lower eye muscles. Do this at least 10 times, relax and then another 10 times. Do this exercise as many times as you can.
Cheeks
This exercise firms and tones the cheeks. Place the tips of your three middle fingers under each cheek bone, apply slight pressure, and put your mouth in an O position. Stretch your mouth as much as you can in an O, and then do an exaggerated smile. Stretch your smile until you feel pulling in your neck muscles. Do this cycle 20 times.
Chin and Neck
This exercise – jawline exercise is great to reduce a double chin. It strengthens and firms up the front of the neck. The muscles involved are platysma and sternocleidomastoid. Place the tip of your tongue firmly against the roof of your mouth, then gently hold on to your neck. Pull your skin down slightly and tilt your neck/head backwards, and then forwards. Repeat this exercise 20 times.
How to prevent wrinkles Forehead
This exercise stimulates and rebuilds muscle on your forehead (frontalis muscle). Place your 3 fingers – index finger, middle finger and ring finger – of each hand firmly midway between the hairline and your eyebrows. Gently pull the skin towards the temples of your face. Do this 20 times.
