CARROTS – adds sweetness to soup

Let’s talk about carrots are one of the best body cleansers. They contain Beta-carotene, vitamin B, calcium, vitamin C, pectin and fibre. Carrots have anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. In addition, carrots can strengthen the liver, kidneys, lungs and digestive system. They are also important for eye health and vision.

GINGER – adds tangy freshness and light spiciness

Of course we cannot forget ginger. Ginger is a spice that comes in many varieties, and is grown in Africa and India.  It is a potent cancer fighter, good for prevention of heart disease, and an anti-inflammatory.  Research indicates it may help prevent migraine headaches.  Ginger is a root and should be peeled before being used.  It should be stored in a cool dry area.

Fresh ginger can be wrapped in paper towels in the refrigerator for up to three weeks, and can also be frozen.  Look for fresh ginger that is firm, not wrinkled in grocery stores or organic markets.

Avocado is my favourite fruit. Deliciously creamy, sweet and satisfying, you can eat avocado every day and not gain a pound. In addition, avocado is rich in vitamin E, Beta carotene, B complex, folic acid, magnesium, iron, potassium and fiber. It also contains monounsaturated fat, which helps maintain levels of good cholesterol in the body.Save

Creamy Carrot Soup

Carrots are one of the best body cleansers and good for the eyes. Ginger is anti-inflammatory and avocado blends instantly into a creamy delight. Celery is also excellent blood cleanser, diuretic and laxative. It is a blood purifier, helps neutralize acids in the body, freshens our breath and cleans the teeth.

 ♥ 1 cup carrots, chopped

 ♥ 1 orange, freshly squeezed

 ♥ ½ shallot, chopped

 ♥ 2 stalks of celery

 ♥ 2 clove of garlic

 ♥ 1 tsp ginger

 ♥ ½ lime, freshly squeezed

 ♥ ½ avocado, peeled and pitted

1. In a blender process all ingredients until smooth and creamy
