Body cleansing has been around for thousands of years. In ancient times people were detoxifying the body and the mind. Detoxifying today is even more important than in ancient times. Our environment exposes us to millions of pounds of chemicals. Toxins such as pesticides, herbicides, plastics, petrochemicals, heavy metals, smoke, and prescription drugs can irritate our bodies, making them more prone to disease and ailments such as allergies, cancer, arthritis and heart disease. Our bodies are overloaded and work overtime to eliminate toxic materials from tissues and organs.
Detoxifying helps the body open all channels of elimination such as (or via the ) colon, skin, lungs, kidneys, liver, digestive system and lymphatic system to remove toxins and waste deposits. These specialized organs are involved in regulating and removing dangerous toxicity from the body to maintain harmony and balance. But, sometimes our elimination organs are not working well and for this reason, we need to assist them for the first 2 to 3 weeks especially our colon.

Many people suffer from intestinal flora imbalances and having friendly intestinal bacteria in the gut is important as it helps keep our gut in control, digest food, prevent fungus, diminish skin problems, and bad breath; Furthermore, preventing mold and yeast from overgrowth in the body and the digestive tract. These friendly bacteria can be eliminated by taking antibiotics, corticosteroid, birth control pills, processed food, gluten and poor diet.
Probiotics and Prebiotics
It is essential to take daily a good quality probiotic and prebiotic (SBO) formula with active cultures including bifidobacteria, lactobacilli and Lactococcus to attain a healthy balance of bacteria in the gut. In addition, our colon needs plenty of fiber especially soluble such as pectin and gels from raw fruits and vegetables, greens and sprouts. (see below). Also certain fermented foods such as raw sauerkraut, sour pickles and sour beets that feed the friendly lactobacillus bacteria in the colon, can be beneficial to cleanse the harmful intestinal bacteria and contribute to better digestion and assimilation of nutrients.
Undoubtedly, detoxification can heal and rejuvenate our body, and slow down aging. In addition, it can maintain our ideal body weight, clear the digestive tract and excess mucus. Furthermore, detox can also strengthen the immune system, enhance mental clarity and improve circulation and metabolism. And that is not all, with cleansing we can achieve the highest wellbeing and vitality we can possibly have.

Water - keeps our skin juicy and beautiful
Our body is approximately 65 to 70 percent water. Water is present in every cell. It helps with blood pressure, circulation, detoxification, and moisture retention and elasticity of the skin. Proper hydration keeps our skin juicy and beautiful. In addition, water is important to flush wastes and toxins from the body.
Furthermore, water will supply energy for the body because being tired and fatigued is usually a sign of dehydration. Always monitor the colour of your urine, especially first thing in the morning. The colour should be clear or very light yellow. When the colour of your urine is dark it means that you are dehydrated and that your body didn’t get enough water.
Guide to Drinking Water
I encourage you to drink enough water during the day. Have your bottle constantly with you, and sip a little by little throughout the day. Drink water between meals and not during meals; at least, 30 minutes before each meal is recommended; as, drinking during meals dilutes the digestive juices, which is very hard on digestion.
Start your day with a two glasses of room temperature water with freshly squeezed lemon. Drink at list 2 litres of water a day, or 2 litres per 120 pounds of body weight. The amount depends on climate, stress, weight, and exercise.
Especially, drinking too much coffee, soft drinks, and prepared juices can dehydrate our body. And, if you want to enjoy a coffee in the morning, than I recommend choose organic.
Try not to drink tap water, which is contaminated with feces, bacteria, viruses and heavy metals. Be really careful when buying bottled water. Soft plastic is made of polycarbonate resins, which leach into the water. Glass bottle is the best! Drink reverse osmosis water, which uses a colloidal silver ionizer, ion exchange, and UV light post-filter to produce very clean water. You can also soak fresh fruit or vegetables in distilled water overnight. Distilled water is dead water as it does not contain any nutrients.
